Following a hugely successful appearance at Country2Country at the O2 back in March and the release of his new EP ‘Foreign Country’ which hit #2 on the iTunes country album chart, Glasgwegian talent Kevin McGuire took London by storm at last weekend’s Nashville Meets London Festival.
Joining the likes of Russell Dickerson, Lucie Silvas, Sam Outlaw and Jo Smith at Canary Wharf’s annual country music event, Kevin proved popular with his R&B-influenced style of country, gaining support from industry professionals in the process. Kelly Sutton at One Country recorded a video interview with Kevin which will be uploaded shortly, whilst Russell Dickerson and Jo Smith both declared themselves as fans!
Born in Glasgow, Kevin McGuire may be Scotland's answer to the Country music wave currently sweeping the UK. Beginning his career at the age of 17, Kevin quickly went on to perform in top venues including King Tuts, the o2 Academy, ABC and The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
Over the last few years, Kevin has managed to build up a following across parts of the UK from supporting artists ranging from the likes of Union J to Deacon Blue. Perhaps this says a lot about Kevin's music, appealing to many age-groups and styles.
Kevin recently released his new single ‘Alright, Tonight!’ and has recieved support from Chris Country Radio, and was even featured in the Scottish Sun.
